This bilingual catalogue accompanies Petrit Halilaj: Runik, the artist's first solo exhibition in Latin America, presented at the Museo Tamayo and curated by José Esparza Chong Cuy. The publication brings together texts examining the poetic, political, and affective dimensions of Halilaj's practice, including essays by Esparza Chong Cuy, Magalí Arriola, and Filipa Ramos, alongside drawings and exhibition documentation. The book also includes an extended account of ¡Nga Runiku me dashni! (From Runik with Love!), Halilaj's site-specific commission for a Boeing 737 operated by Aeroméxico comprised of a large-scale chicken painted across the fuselage—a deliberate choice given the bird's inability to fly—that circulated on domestic and regional routes for two months as a moving emblem of migration and belonging. Through reflections on memory, homeland, displacement, identity, statehood, and belonging, the volume traces the ways personal experience, collective history, and imagination converge throughout Halilaj's work.
